Principal's Message

Dr. J.R. Entsminger
John Entsminger
Principal
Kennedy Community:

Wow!  I know we had a short summer.  But, summer really flew right by!

Each year, I like to share a little message with the Kennedy community on our website and social media outlets.  In these messages, I detail some important information and upcoming events for our community members and stakeholders.

This year, UNITY will be a focus here at Kennedy School.  As part of the word "Community", the word UNITY portrays a focus on working together to accomplish shared goals.  As a staff, we will be working to building more UNITY among all Kennedy educators.  What is more, as an entire school, we're working to implement a House System, where every student will be placed in a school family within a school house.  In these families and houses, students and teachers will participate in monthly activities and games in order to build more connections with members of the entire school community.  It's hard to explain in a literal sense.  The best way I can think to explain the House System is to think of Harry Potter.  In the Harry Potter books and movies, students at the Wizard School are sorted into different houses, such as Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff.  Within these houses, Harry Potter and the rest of the students at the school build amazing relationships and connections with their peers.  This is our hope with the House System we will be implementing.

Thank you for visiting the Principal’s Page here on Jacqueline B. Kennedy’s website.  We look forward to a marvelous school year!
